Who ever said dessert has to be overly sweet? or sweet at all, for that matter?

Ethan you can try and try but you know you have to put a chocolate dessert on the menu! Haha!

Everyone should stop by in a week or so when Ethan's new dessert menu goes up for the first part of summer. I hope he posts it on here so you can weigh in on his perception of "dessert".

I've got the chocolate, just got to flip the focus of the 'front porch' dish around...

Thanks for bouncing ideas (and beers) back and forth with me last week.

I've gotta call PolyScience tomorrow (no online ordering).
Then we'll be smokin'!

I put vegetables in your desserts, white chocolate with your fish and other nonsense stuff that you think shouldn't make sense, but coax the nonsense into something that makes complete sense in your mouth. Just open your mind, mouth and eat.

My favorite milkshake is one made with Vanilla ice cream and Hot Fudge.

I really like the jamoica shake at Arby's.

And Dairy Queen's banana cream blizzard, as well as the chocolate extreme one.

My all time favorites:

bread pudding (homeade, Bristol)

creme brulee- I haven't had a bad one yet, and I soon will be trying the mix that they sell at Campbell's Gourmet Cottage.

peanut butter pie- (homeade, Joe's OK Bayou, Feed Bag, Ramsey's in Lexington)

German chocolate cake- (homeade, Feed Bag)

tiramisu- Ray Parella's, Ferd's

red velvet, Italian cream, NY style cheesecake

The marble cake at Zydeco was delicious too as a rare treat.

and I am trying to lose a little weight....*sigh*

OK...

New winner for the best tiramisu (haven't tried the strawberry one at L & N yet though...)

Cafe Lou Lou's. Just wish it was not $6.95 (though maybe that's a GOOD thing...)

That's my cue: I'm glad you liked it, Marie!

We're also offering Kahluha White Russian Brownies and Chocolate Creme Brulee. More in-house dessert offerings coming up soon - I've only been there a week, and the place has been pretty packed!

/small plug for the Cupcake Mercenary (that's me) at Cafe Lou Lou

Anoosh makes the most fabulous bananas foster that I have ever had. Hands down. Also, he made a fig foster over macadamia nut ice cream-- incredible.

You have now reminded me that I need to run a few miles, so I can eat desert. :)

Oh my God, that sounds so good! Might have to come by and grab dessert on my cheat day, or perhaps, my birthday. Drooling.

For a "light" treat, I do so enjoy the bakalava from Alwatan on Klondike Lane. I usually end up getting some at the grocery next door when I'm picking up my pitas. Scrumptious!
