My favorite episode was the one when he and Eric Ripert ran the line for a dinner shift at Les Halles. I have a lot of respect for someone who can pound out the food on a busy line and not miss a beat...Especially after getting "soft" making T.V. shows and doing book tours!

Some friends in Detroit report that Anthony Bourdain was in their fair city this past weekend, taping for a three-city "Rust Belt" episode (that will also feature Baltimore and Buffalo). Zamir, the crazy Russian guy, was in tow. Sounds kinda good, though I think all three of those cities deserve stand-alone episodes (great, unique food exists in each!).

Thanks for the reminder, Marsha. I'm curious to see this episode. I spent almost a week in Venice a few years ago and was honestly not at all impressed with the culinary scene there, at least relative to other places in Italy. Of course, I was a poor student at the time, but even so I made the effort everywhere I traveled in Europe to eat as well as I could afford. I'll let Tony enlighten me as to what I missed.
