That's weird that Simply Thai is closed...the little market right next door is open! But it's like that all over that neighboorhood...

Old Brownsboro Crossing & the Summitt OPEN

by Doug W » Mon Sep 15, 2008 3:32 pm

All the restaurants and businesses in Old Brownsboro Crossing are open. CostCo has long lines, but they are selling gas - you need to be a member though. We ate add Red Robin last night - Whoo-weee!!! Everyone was packed!!

Cheers,

L&N WIne Bar and Bistro just had the power come on around 2:30 p.m. on Monday. We will be unable to open tonight, but will be open for dinner for the remainder of the week, inclulding Sunday. I hope others get their power up real soon!

Is it possible that they just don't open on Mondays? A lot of places close then. :)

Melillo's will be open Tuesday night. We lost power, and everything in the fridge and freezers, but luckily are back up and running. I can't get a delivery truck until tomorrow afternoonish, so we will be open tomorrow night.

And, everyone's welcome to come charge phones or laptops or whatever they need to:)

lights just popped on in our nabe, yay!

This bodes well for nearby eateries like Porcini, Fat Jimmy's, Heine's and Blue Dog to reopen soon. :)

My neighborhood is still without power. We're going to lose all of our food, unfortunately. Thankfully, we have a gas stove, and a grill, so if need be, we can go to the grocery store every day before dinner to get food. This really sucks.

And undeed, Heine's is open this morning, albeit with yesterday's New York Times. Of course, the CJ is delivering The Times now, so what do you expect?

For the record, the Crescent Hill Library also reopens today, and we saw The Wine Rack open (with John dispensing vino by candlelight) yesterday afternoon.

It appears that most of Crescent Hill is back up and running. All the power on my street came on at 10:45 last night....except ours and five other houses on our street. We must be one of those lucky small circuits that will probably get power after 10 days. :x

That's exactly when we came back, Jess! I would ABSOLUTELY call LG&E today and stay on the line until you get through ... not to be a pessimist, but it might be some little thing that they can easily fix IF THEY KNOW ABOUT IT.

Good idea. Sometimes its hard to think clearly :D I'm just glad the restaurants are back. I love this city, but I love it even more when I can enjoy the great places to dine.
