Yeah, you can play Robin. This isn't a competition, I didn't think. Just some great fun!

I think a good secret ingredient would be turkey for the cost sake of it. Your going to have it all left over from turkeyday and they run specials so its economic. It would almost be like every challenger playing Chef Garde Manger for a day. But then agian we might be tired of it by then.

Second vote............Bacon!
or pumpkins.

Something that can easily be found in Louisville?... Possum.... Or maybe squirrels.... And now that I actually type that out ("squirrels"), it occurs to me that's one of the oddest words.... So of course I had to look up the etymology of the thing. Coupled with Robin's choice, we'll need a glossary to accompany the menu.

There has been an overabundance of dead skunk on the road. Would that suffice?

I'm up for a little Roadkill Ragout.
Actually I nearly hit a deer on Zorn the other day- that would have fed a huge forum crowd. I'll aim better next time.

Maybe we need a choice of secret ingredients. 'Cause some of us are vegetarians. Just sayin'.

On an off topic side note, Macs have a built in dictionary/thesaurus with word origin, so the etymology would have been right at your fingertips!

Maybe we want two secret ingredients: both to address the vegetarian issue, and to insure we aren't all heartily sick of the one ingredient before the night is over. 15 pumpkin dishes could be rather overwhelming....

How about a local food: like Kenny's cheeses or Weisenburger Grits?

Well, um, an assortment of dictionaries, including the OED, sit about a foot away from me and my laptop (in my office/library), and I also have files of online dictionaries at my fingertips as well. So, yeah, it's easy as can be.

For illustrative purposes, plus a bonus pic of the beautiful Bella on a sheepskin :D :

My husband snapped one of me at my desk in my jammies, but Bella on a sheepskin is probably more appropriate.

An active internet connection pretty much puts any information at your fingertips. At one time I think there was quite a good debate to be had in the Mac/PC advocacy arguments... at this point in time I think the only pertinent issues are interface preference, and how much money you are willing to spend.

I agree with a selection of secret ingredients and allow people to decide whether or not to use it.
