Certainly not Red Robin's fault, but I will agree that it has become a gathering place for parties full of kids. I have no complaints with the quality of food, as everything I've had there has been pretty good. Just saying, if you aren't keen on running, screaming kids, might want to stay away.

Yes, the local employees of chains do spend their money in Louisville because they live here, but the owners don't. Of course, the owners of local restaurants bought their house in Louisville. They LIVE here. They also go out to eat in Louisville, buy their kids' clothes in Louisville, go to the dentist in Louisville. The owner of Red Robin does NONE of these things in Louisville. Is this fact even debatable?

Cunningham's has a good burger, and the Bristol burger is always a favorite. I really like the variation at Karem's in Norton Commons, which is like juicy bits of rare burger tossed into a tortilla wrap.
I like it that all those locally owned businesses keep all their money in town, not just the pittance that chains pay their workers.
