Every single time I have been in, we've been unable to converse for the noise, and there are kids running around crashing into stuff. Certainly not Red Robin's fault, but I will agree that it has become a gathering place for parties full of kids. I have no complaints with the quality of food, as everything I've had there has been pretty good. Just saying, if you aren't keen on running, screaming kids, might want to stay away.

Yes, the local employees of chains do spend their money in Louisville because they live here, but the owners don't. Of course, the owners of local restaurants bought their house in Louisville. They LIVE here. They also go out to eat in Louisville, buy their kids' clothes in Louisville, go to the dentist in Louisville. The owner of Red Robin does NONE of these things in Louisville. Is this fact even debatable?

I think this partly depends on what time of day you visit and what day of the week it is. Most times my wife and I have been there there were a few kids but not many and the ones that were there were quite well behaved. Of course since we don't have children we don't visit during the peak dining times for family's.

Still waiting for all of the Local Owners to chime in and tell me how much better the salary and benefits are vs a chain....

Yeah....since the company is traded on the NASDAQ with 16.9 million shares outstanding......even some of us might be "owners" right here in Louisville. I'm not sure where Mr. Red Robin built his home....does any of this really matter?

This argument is so played. It's the same thing by the same poeple over and over again. BORING......

Do you really think that either side is going to change their minds?!?!

You are right but remember it was the host that made the comment of the poor salaries for the 100 new jobs...So where are the facts that support it that chains pay far less than a local place....same goes for benefits.

That quote was copied directly from the Red Robin quarterly report to the SEC.

This is the post that I was commenting on from the 4th at 415 PM. The way it reads it sure sounds like your own words...

Cunningham's has a good burger, and the Bristol burger is always a favorite. I really like the variation at Karem's in Norton Commons, which is like juicy bits of rare burger tossed into a tortilla wrap.

I like it that all those locally owned businesses keep all their money in town, not just the pittance that chains pay their workers.

And it does not substantiate your comment, "it was the host that made the comment of the poor salaries for the 100 new jobs."

You're beginning to troll again, Robert. I will soon tire of it.

I will ask it one more time as CLEAR as I can...Show me where Local Places pay more or have better benefits than a large chain....Give me some examples of the pay difference....Now that is as clear as I can ask the question.....and YES 100 new jobs will be provided by Red Robin....to a lot of people that are not working right now or looking for a better job or trying to move up......That is the bottom line....
