Re: Who's got the best Buffalo wings Louisville?

The last time I ever saw a sign for ten cent wings was at spring street, maybe 15+ years ago. My wife and I told the waitress that we would split a large dinner salad and 25 wings. Even though she did not know my credentials as a former U.S. Olympics Silver Medalist wing eater, she did not flinch. The 25 wings, two ounces of ranch and five celery sticks all arrived in a cardboard boat appropriate for about ten ounces of fries. I wish I had taken a picture. Is it safe to assume that the spring street wings have put on a little weight since then?

I would hands down say that the monkey wrench has the best wings in town, bar none. If you like them hot and full of flavor, order them monkey hot.

What does a serving of wings cost at The Monkey Wrench? Do you work there?

Folks,

I've not had an oppoortunity to compare "wing joints" in L'ville yet (although that WILL be one of the first missions I accept once we get relocated). I did however want to make a comment about my experiences with the Buffalo Wild Wings" chain. I have recently (and repeatedly) been VERY disappointed with this chain, to the tune where I doubt I'll try them again no matter what kind of praise they receive. I have tried their food in 3 different states over the past year or so and have been disapointed across the board. Perhaps there biggest sin occured about a month ago when one of my classes had a "class party" at BW3's here in Oklahoma City. I never got an exact count but almost a dozen of my students became -extremely- ill (can you say cross contamination). Phone calls by the students to local management received a "so what" response and (I'm told by some students) that calls to "corporate" were greeted by a "so sue me" attittude. So scrawny dried out wings aside, I'll be leaving this chain alone for a while.
