What, exactly, does Absinthe taste like? I've been wanting to try it, but the green color kind of scares me...Hopefully, it isn't too awful.

It is awful, in my opinion. The spoon (slotted) mentioned is used to prepare the drink. You put a lump of sugar in the spoon and pour the liquor and/or water over into a glass.

The basic taste is licorice, which I abhor. Of course if you like licorice, that would change the perception.

i'm ready to kill this. unfortunately i just spent 40 bucks on beer (samuel adams tasty white ale just came out) so it'll have to wait a week or so but i'll be getting a bottle of that.
