Perhaps because the back subdivision roads are so crappy. And the lawsuits that might be involved for putting kids at risk.
But I am just guessing.

Carla got it in one. School authorities have to consider the safety of kids at the hour when they're being delivered to the schools. It's not about 1 inch of snow. It's about road conditions at a specific time.

It's easy to sit home and judge when you have no stake, but not so easy to sit in the decision seat.

I'm wondering what these kids are going to do when they grow up and no longer have a bunch of "Nanny's" to protect and coddle them.

Come on you guys! Leave Steve alone. He's got that walrus to skin and hang and that 5 mile walk to bathroom and back.

Now Carla, you know we don't have Walrus out here in Garage Logic, lots of Deer and Coyotes but no Walrus...and the county made us get indoor plumbing years ago...But I DO take it as a compliment your acknowledgment that I'm one of the few people around who (if necessary) actually COULD survive such conditions.

Hey I can survive too! I got my rum and toilet paper during the last snow scare. Baby I am set.! Little disappointing you've got no walrus meat on the spit however.
