PETA is lazy. If they want to make a difference then they should start a vegan restaurant that blows Game out of the water. Beat someone in the free market and they will go out of business.

One of the camouflage-clad diner/photographers had a sidearm holstered to his belt. At least one other patron, that'd be this editor, was uneasy, sitting with his family, with a guy openly packing heat two tables away. It was unclear what frightened the man so much that he felt compelled to carry a firearm.

That perfectly captures the depth of the chasm between the two sides on the gun control debate. And the lack of understanding either side has of the other.

That was fine, as I was paying in cash anyway. $7 Saison Dupont came to $7.42, I handed him a $20. He asks me how much I want back....uh, what? He said they didnt have any change, so let me know how much I wanted back, I said I hadnt figured that yet, he then broke down my $20 and gave me $20 back and I ended up paying him $9. Personally, that was more than I wanted to tip (in other circumstances, that would be fine, but I was a little peeved) but $8 was way too small. I get not wanting to deal with fiddling change at the bar, but if that is the case, charge me $7 like many places do at the bar, not $7.42. I wanted $12.58 back. And from that I would have tipped, either $1.25 or $1.50. Or maybe $1.58 like I did. Maybe Im overreacting, but how can you not have something as fundamental as change available if you are going to charge sales tax instead of building it into the price like many bars do? Isnt stocking the change drawer retail 101?
