Agreed. The criminal justice system in America is very, very far from perfect. However, making a scene in a courtroom does absolutely nothing to change things for the better.

I'm no legal beagle, and I don't even get to see US Courtroom dramas on TV, but just imagine if there was some kind of mistrial due to intimidation or interference, etc. How dumb would that be?

Answer: unimaginably dumb.
