Yeah, I'll be working in the morning so I can take a break in the afternoon, so no 8am for me.

The Elector is mashed in and the (Extra) Ordinary tapped. They both smell and taste great!

See y'all at 13:00.

What a perfect afternoon to sit on BSB's covered patio with the garage doors open enjoying good friends, good beer and good food. Thank you to Roger and David for being the ultimate hosts and sharing so much of your knowledge about brewing and beer. It was great to meet some people we had not met and to visit with others we have known. Great afternoon!

p.s. I'm sure Shane will have a much more descriptive account of the afternoon!!!

What Carol said. Caroline and I had a wonderful time meeting some of you and re-meeting others. Whoever said people shouldn't talk about religion and politics at the bar had it all wrong!

David, the beer was great -- especially the bitter on the hand-pull. While I've always loved the Community Dark, I was completely smitten with the bitter today. Had to have me one final 1/2 pint before going just for a reminder of how great it is. Amazing to think that I spent many years of my life drinking light beer with more alcohol and much less taste.

Shane, thanks for organizing. Hope to have a beer with you again soon. The only downside to the day was the good times ended too early and the rest of the day has been lackluster. Just me, schoolwork, and the Reds game at this point. Who wants to bring me a growler of the bitter?

Hope to see you all again soon.

Well Carol, I don't know about more descriptive. From my point of view, no one approached the boundaries of acceptable behavior or even tried to kiss me today. Given that, the afternoon was still pretty much perfect. The weather on the patio and the real ale were as good as it gets. David – the session bitter was fantastic. Our server Angela was wonderful - she always is. The company which included CarolC, Bob and their neighbors, JackieR, DavidP, AntoniaL and Tim, MatthewD and Caroline was all anyone could wish for. To cap it off, Roger and Diana joined us for a while. Why can't every Saturday be so perfect?

I would like to mention that MatthewD is moving to Syracuse soon (he mentioned this himself in a recent thread). I hope that Matt will continue to be a presence here on the forum. In Matt, I can unequivocally say that Louisville is losing a valuable presence who will be missed.

My thanks to Bank St Brewhouse and all who came today for a truly delightful afternoon. To paraphrase a current country song, “We're not here for a long time, we're here for a good time.” That's what we had. Cheers all!

I appreciate all of you coming by today; it was great fun. Shane took it upon himself to assist with the salvaging of my reputation, and it is appreciated. :D

BTW, the Civil War exhibit at the Frazier History Museum (i.e., the reason why we scooted) was quite good. Afterward we stopped at Against the Grain, and as I peck, there's a growler of Pat's Blue Bow (session lager) to keep me company and complete the day. Cheers!

Roger, your reputation has always been in fine condition, as far I can tell. You are a truly a trade master. Thank you for giving Shane a venue to host such a special Saturday afternoon- and I'm tickled speckled about news of your plans to unearth part of your parking lot to make room for a beer garden someday!

Shane and I finished the afternoon at the Irish Exit and were thrilled to find that they have an excellent tap selection. Nice big patio around back with picnic tables and friendly bar service. Wonderful day and even better company. Slainte!

Roger, I really can't imagine that you or anyone would think your rep was anything other than that of the most respected brewery owner in the region.

I'm especially gratified that the people who came today got to experience the pleasure of your and Diana's company. Bank Street and the NABC Pizzeria are wonderful establishments and reflect the dedication and professionalism of all the owners and staff.

I get to experience the BSB on a regular basis and wanted to share it with the amazing personalities that I interact with on this forum. In the end, it's the people who make such an event so enjoyable. I hope we can do it again.

BTW, I told you that I had seen the Civil War exhibit at the Frazier. It was actually the WWII exhibit that I took in. The Frazier is a local treasure and I encourage all to visit it. If you want a terrific read RE Civil War try "Killer Angels" by Michael Sharra. I read it straight through one long night and it started a fascination with the war between the states that culminated in a seven state vacation back in the 80's to visit the major Civil War sites. Next time you take a vacation, try Gettysburg with a side trip to Niagara Falls. Cheers Roger and thanks again for having us at your place today!

It was great seeing everyone yesterday, thank you for enjoying Session Head 2012, The Beginning.

I really enjoyed talking with everyone. I can't believe Shane, Jackie and I sat there talking until after 5 o'clock. Or as I call it, past my nap time.

How long will the bitter session be on tap, David?
