Marsha...Every so often, usually on days like today when I've got a wee-bit too much time on my hands, I will allow myself to daydream. In the end I am always forced to admit that those of you "in the business" have entirely too much up on this amateur-expert for me to really-truly entertain such thoughts. I admire you all for the time and effort and sacrifices you have put into your field of expertise but when it comes down to it I don't know that I could do the same.

All that said, if I ever DO get beyond the daydreaming stage, you will be one of the first people I call.

I was the first customer in the door this morning. Really nice folks as Steve said and the brisket is worth getting your hands on (even asked what cut of the brisket I preferred). The pork was nice as well, and both meats had a good smoke flavor.
The potato salad was pretty good and the slaw was different, as Steve pointed out.
The BBQ sauce itself was what intrigued me the most though, not really like anything I'd had before on BBQ. If I had to guess I'd say a stewed tomato base with caramelized onions and molasses and some spices. It reminded me a lot of a basic red sauce you might see with pasta, but it was good and it worked.

They said they're making it all from scratch, save for the buns and they're selling out every day.
