I will check with Jim at Martini's about Sunday the 13th at 6:00 pm. Any rough idea of how many people? Can we please get some feedback now from everyone if they'd like to attend?

I'll change the title of the original post to draw attention to this.

That appears to be under discussion at this point.

Put us down for 2! I personally tinkh the chefs choice idea is a great one. It was certainly fun at Peking city bistro.

I am a tentative "in"- will confirm by the 9th.

Jerry-
While the Chef's Choice lets them really shine, there can be a couple of issues:
*Not enough food that works for Vegetarians ( effectively leaving them out)
    * Pricing so people can afford
*Not really indicative of the restaurant's food

Not trying to sway either way on this issue, I just know you are not familiar and thought it might help. Most of the off-lines have been "order off the menu" but several - typically ethnic- have been Chef's choice with enough choices to make it appealling to everyone attending.

This is shaping up well! I just updated the original post. And I have no opinions about the menu options, whatever everybody else wants is cool by me.

Will there be Kool - Aid?
Here is the dinner menu, in case some of you are not familiar with where Martini is , it is right around the corner from Norton Commons in the Summit shopping center.

While I see your point I think we could very easily have them provide separate dishes for the vegetarians.

I wasn't thinking passed what we did at Peking City but rather just individually plated items for each person so providing for vegetarians shouldn't be a problem.

I really see the price as an advantage because people will know the cost going in instead of being surprised when they get their bill.

Maybe it's that totally indicative of their meat menu selections but it certainly is of their food quality and it would provide some different dishes which we normally wouldn't get.

I do agree though that we'll go with whatever the group decides.

We plan on being there... +2..... We can go either way about ordering off the menu or pre-set menu, but do think we need to take into consideration the vegetarians out there. Looking forward to the offline!!!
