It would have to be $50 bills for $20 for me to stand in that line. What the hell are those people thinking?

Ever notice how passive those people are, until you ask them to begin thinking? Whoa.

Nothing that's not going to be there in a week,or later the same day. I'm with Justin ( but then again, I'm not a Black Friday shopper either).

I used to be a Black Friday shopper, get out at 4 am, the works but I have come to the realization that as much as I love my bargains and I do , I love sleep and avoiding craziness more.So now I look for bargains year round and leave Black Friday to the amateurs. :)

Thanks Gayle!. Full disclosure I started with TJ's on 10/10. We were all so psyched and ready for the opening, yesterday was a rocking good time. It was such a party for me I came home hoarse from laughing and talking with people who are so happy TJ's is in town. I did not have one disgruntled customer that did not open up as soon as we started to talk. Everyone was amazing! I really like my job.

Drove past today at 4pm and it looks like the party is still going...

I had planned on stopping in, but the turn lane was full of cars and I think every spot in the parking lot was full... I decided to forgo the adventure. Next week, maybe.

Stopped in around 2p today and it was PACKED! Things seemed to flowing fairly smoothly and I saw some great deals. Popped in the wine shop and snagged two bottles for $8 - about to see if that was a good move! I'll be going back to shop when the crowd isn't SO intense. IMO it seems like it seems the old circuit city spot (right across the way) may have served TJ's better!

They couldn't go in the old Circuit City because then they would not have been able to sell alcohol - too close to World Market. Same reason the Home Run Burgers over there doesn't have beer...too close to BW3s.

I've heard that point brought up several times before but I really don't understand when it does and when it doesn't apply. Take downtime St Matthews as an example, there are many places side by side that sell alcohol so why are they not affected? Also on Shelbyville road you have two large liquor stores directly across the street from each other? Does anyone know exactly how the law works regarding the sale of liquor? They're certainly seems to be a lot of conflicts in the application. Actually if you look at where TJs is located there's a place on either side that sells alcohol, Puccini and the sushi place (forget the name).
