The Convention & Visitors Bureau has worked with a lot of restaurants, shops and attractions around town - conventioners get a "show your badge" VIP discount at a whole list of places. And then some people may just forget to take them off, since they have to leave them on all the rest of the day to gain access to their convention functions.

I am sure Antonia, but when I go to a fine dining establishment and dressed for the occasion, it bugs me to see these guys/gals who decide to leave them on.

I have been there done that, and I always took mine off..

Come on, it's not like that every causes any problems. Look at what a great job Blackwater has done in Iraq!

I think we may be singing out of the same hymn book here ...

I take my name badges off outside of a convention, too, but sadly, not everyone is perfect like we are.

I forgot and left my name tag from Ascension Episcopal in Bardstown on when we all went over to Mammy's Kitchen after services on Sunday, and one of the locals spotted it and ratted me out to the management. "There's a food critic from Louisville in the house!" they shrieked. "Aw, that's just Robin," the owner said. )

I am wondering if this is relevant in any way ...

Not at Mammy's! That's Ascension Coffee Hour, and they're my posse. 8)
