Re: Against the Grain opens in old Browning's on Oct. 4

Went it for my first visit on Friday...the beer was good, I had the hefeweizen, but the food was pretty bad I gotta say. I had the barley broth risotta...it came out looking like porridge....very soupy and not garnished at all. It tasted as bad as it looked, very bland, watery and not seasoned at all....I really have no idea what customer would be into such a dish to be honest. Hopefully they will come up with a new risotto recipe to replace it soon

So it could have been my own fault for ordering risotto at a beer joint - next time I'll try one of the sandwiches (I tried some of the homemade chips and they were good), but I was expecting food to the quality of Holy Graile or Bank Street. It does not come close to the food I've had a those places
