Mark F wrote:Thank you guys for reminding me why it is a very rarely post on this forum and visit it at all less and less. Thirteen of twenty-eight posts are the same people arguing and calling each other idiots. The original point of a thread lost, and conversation so far off base I’m sure it will not be safe, more likely caught in a pickle. I never meant for anyone to call anyone an idiot, especially publically, just felt the need to defend a local restaurant a little. :|

C'mon, Mark, you used to work for Mehrzaud. Don't play the wilted flower on me now...

The Templars didn't defend the Island, a little. Christ didn't sway the entirity of Western civilization, a little. America didn't become a nation, a little.

It's only by standing up to the bullies, the oppressors, at every opportunity, that the great ideals are formed into reality.

Remember we used to keep a picture of the famed 300 in the kitchen?

Never forget that, I don't.

You're a class act here Robin. You imply I'm dumb, allow Stephen to feed off it and then delete my comments in which there was no name calling, only truths. Then insinuate that you are corralling a "battle" in which you started with innuendo that I'm dumb.

Classy, real classy. If you are going to delete disparaging posts, it should be across the board, including yours and Stephens. Let's see how fair you really are. . .

No problem, I understand the rules. You can insult the intelligence of others and so can others at your choosing without response from the target, then you'll edit posts at your choosing and try to sweep it under the rug as to show it's everyone else's fault but yours or your cronies. I'm starting to think you'd make a great politician.

I'm a big boy, BC, and have weathered worse storms than you...

Robin has censured me more than anyone and his counsel has always been proper- as it is towards you, now.

A cronie I am not. Robin recieves fewer PM's from me than anyone (what, 2 in the past 3 years?)

A friend I am.. to this culture, this community, this conscience.

Robin insinuated that I was dumb, you propogated the idea further, I responded and my post gets deleted.

That's not proper. If he had deleted all of the posts, then that's fair and I would have understood. Deleting mine which was no more derogatory than his or yours is not proper or fair. . .

Brian, I told you to drop it. Twice. Third strike, coming up.

For courtesy, I'll explain: The argument was winding down. I had told all the other participants to stop. They complied. Then you came in and jumped on the pile with more snide. THAT IS WHY YOU GOT DELETED.

You didn't know when to stop then, and you don't seem to know when to stop now.

Drop it, or you're on time out until you cool down.

No, I had a problem with you slamming Dana. Like Majid. Or Robin. You don't know these people or have a real perspective of thier contributions.

Sorry. Checkmate. You lose.

The way to do that is to RESIST the temptation to throw in one more comment about how awful it was.

And now I'm doing it.

Let's go have a beer or a glass of wine or a martooney, folks!

Okay, kids... let's knock it off. Don't make me pull this restaurant over! It's not always about you... I was hoping for some real constructive feedback about whether or not we deserved to lose a whole star based on the review, but instead all I got was back seat bickering.
