Pat, for the 3rd spot, is that strip center right accross the street and behind Walgreens an option?

Also, the guy that owns the old vacant gas station across from Walgreens may be interested. There's plenty of space there and its been sitting empty for several yrs.

I plan to talk with the people caddy corner form eastland withthe vacant building. The strip center across the street and behind walgreens gets pretty packed with cars on Fridays until 9 or 9:30 with Tae Kwon Do classes
And yes We do take our trailer home at night. Have to keep it plugged in.

The owner of that property was Stan Sims. His lawyers office is next door. As far as I know he still owns it.

See, that's why I think the whole "you have to move" law is junk. You DO move. You are not a permanent feature. You pay to occupy the space for the time you are there, then you leave. Madness I tell you.

As of an hour ago they were. Same shopping center as usual, but in the corner by Cox's Smokers Outlet right on Bardstown rd.

I called and that is correct. They are usually open until 11 or so. Later if they are busy.

Went for a gordita and burrito last night. Delicious as always. The spot they have know actually has a lot better exposure to Bardstown Rd as they are right at the front of the parking lot, right on Bardstown Rd. They actually will probably get more business from the better exposure at this spot.

The information that I can offer is basically Food Trucks, Trailers and Carts are only getting checked on when a complaint is called in. These are the only times when the truckers I deal with have had a run in with the ABC/IPL. I can tell you that the street food vendors I deal with regularly wouldn't dream of making a call to complain on another street food operation (unless that operation was in direct conflict with their operation or otherwise operating unethically). They definitely wouldn't call on Pat. None of us have ever said anything negative about him or his operation, I spoke with him on the phone a couple months back and he had spent his years moving around and was happy in that location and it wasn't hurting any of us and I can't think of a time when any of us utilized a location anywhere near him. I think Ear X Tacy is the closest I have ever gotten to him.

Complaints are the number one reason for the city to come out and either ticket or shut down an operation. Otherwise we never hear a peep from them. Just keep in mind that a complaint can be called in by anyone, not just restaurant owners. Its just a matter of knowing which department to call. Also know that the person who called in the complaint is not anonymous, your information is public record. So if you are a business owner and you don't make an effort to clear it up with the operation you are unhappy with and just start calling government offices you will get outed and you will lose patronage. A point proven in this thread.

In my opinion, they aren't making Pat move because of the new "Food Truck Revolution" the city is being extremely helpful in a very efficient manner to get this antiquated ordinance updated. Unfortunately the 14 day thing is a state health department law and isn't easily changed. I firmly believe that they only reason they are making him move is his previously stated issue with a local business that wants to sell food.

my 2 cents, for what its worth

and Pat, I am sorry man that sucks. If you need locations (I have a pretty extensive list) or anything else that I can do to help just hit me up. feedme@louisvillestreetfood.com or PM me here. Good luck man.
