Licorice Ice Cream

I had made a honey sauce for that one earlier today (with apple puree)...but we decided it was too rich to complement the already rich ice cream, and so we nixed it. I hope you got some of the candied pine nuts as a topping.

No candied pine nuts, but it didn't matter. I think you made the right decision to just let it stand alone .... it needed no other compliment. I, too, think a sauce would have made it too rich. Please let us know when you make this one again ... I'll be there for both lunch and dinner!!!

I was out that way so I stopped at Gilberto's today and to my delight he had made pear boubon gelato!

I'll be there tomorrow. I was there last weekend and tried your watermelon-rosemary and peach-ginger. They were beyond delicious- I meant to post about them- I must have had a sorbet induced brain freeze.
