I'm trying to watch TV but all I see is weather reports! I thought that's what you're supposed to have a weather radio for!

It's ridiculous to complain that we never get to see the action, but such is usually the case. Tonight I had a bit of fun about the hyperbole of the local warnings, but I bet many people nearby didn't find it funny at all.

I enjoyed opening my door (without fear of a touch-down twister) for a freakish downpour and I wish all neighboring counties could have done that safely tonight. And I'm grateful for my amenities. And I'm grateful our Metro mobile vendors were likely unaffected.

Had a lost frog attached to our front door. He had the suction thing on his feet. Very cool

Hmmmmmm....A rather interesting evening of weather wasn't it ? "It" was over out here in Garage Logic in ohhhhh about 9 minutes. A little gust front, some rain, a bit of lightening. No big deal up this way.

Just a couple of observations...

We had the NWS Radio cranking at the same time that we had the TV on...The NWS feed was timely and accurate. The TV folks on the other hand... I honestly think some of these folks need to go back to weather school. I must have heard the words "Super Cell" a dozen times last night...Trust me, there was nothing "Super Cell" at all about this most recent weather event. It was just your typical squall line T-storm.

I'll be curious to see what the NWS people say when they get up to Bedford and do a post storm inspection. Granted there was a lot of damage and not saying there wasn't a tornado on the ground but I've seen a couple of cell phone videos of the "tornado" and don't see anything but a down draft in a T-storm.

Me thinks with all the destruction in other places this spring, that folks are (justifiably) just a little "gun-shy". Hope everyone had it as easy as we did.

We had some moderate to heavy rain, light to moderate wind, and about 1 minute of light pea sized hail. The storm that came through Mon. night - Tue. morning was much more severe. We have family in Evansville, Depauw, and English and they said the same.

Same here Justin...Monday's storm was much more severe out this way. I was a certified weather observer during my time in the control tower, and I'm putting a couple of our wind gusts on Monday night solidly in that 70-80 mph range. It didn't last long but it got my attention for a few minutes.

Sorry. I don't have a TV capable of picking up a local signal. Though I use it to watch movies and the such....
