Guess all I can say is that if I'm your customer, the first time one of them reached around and started licking it's butt...you'd have just bought our meal because I'd get up and walk out that second...with NO stop at the cash register.

At Brownings, we will put a table for you outside of the patio, and give you full service (and water for your dog), if you have your well behaved dog (s) on a leash. The healthy dept told us that other than service dogs, no pets on the patio.
I've seen dogs at 3rd ave and toast in the past.

I have a couple of friends that have eaten at just about every local independent, and they take their extremely well-behaved Weimaraner everywhere they can (this dog is as much their child as I've ever seen). They've never mentioned being turned away from any patio in town (doesn't mean it hasn't happened). Whenever we've tried to decide where to eat with Elsa Poo Poo, the restrictions have been only "who has a patio?" and never "who has a dog-friendly patio?". We did, however, dine at a place called Momocho in Cleveland last summer and were told by the hostess after we were seated that dogs were not permitted, whereas the last time my friends dined there they were told by the owner that it was fine by him. That discussion was promptly snuffed.

I know it's a fine line, but I've never been bothered by a pup (as a customer or restaurant employee - and for Christ's sake I've never seen an owner let their dog poo on premises). So for the good ones, I love that they have the freedom.

You'd love Elsa Poo Poo. She's not just a poo poo pup, she's a people pup, poo, I mean too.

Stop looking for animals that sniff their butts and you'll be able to dine in peace. Otherwise go to Picadillys with all the other ...oh, wait.... some of them may have Service Animals. Nevermind. Best just order a pizza.

If memory serves me correctly, you pay at the counter @ J Gumbos when you order..so you would have already bought your meal!

Fortunately we do not require patrons to eat on the patio, you are more than welcome to dine in our animal-free dining rooms as well! We aim to please! :D

I do hope you draw the line at Steve licking his butt in your dining room. If that happens, it'll empty out the room. :P

This statement has bothered me since i read it earlier in the day. And yes it is because i am - fluffy, overweight, big, chunky, obese, a BBW - whatever you want to call it, yes i am fat. BUT, that is not the issue, i am offended at the thought, and insinuation that because the person is fat they would be the one that is dirty, unclean (as they make their way to a buffet) thus being the cause of someone else getting sick. I am sure there are skinny, average, and fat people that do not wash their hands or are not careful about the spread of germs.

BUT as a fat person, i also know this: i am extremely clean. I have always been fat AND always been a clean person.

You are 100% correct and I'm an idiot - I corrected my tasteless post. Please forgive me. BTW...I'm chunky so I've got no room to talk.

Mr Garr,

You must have me confused with another of your acquaintances...While I have been known to show my butt on occasion, I have never been one to actually lick my own butt...or kiss anyone else's for that matter. :P
