Good Greece. Let's all go for a gyro. I mean gyros.
Is that pronounced Jiy-Ro or Gear-Oh or Jeer-Oh ?

Oh, now that's easy enough. It consists of ...eh, well, if you start with, eh, eh, so then .......oh heck, I don't know! One exercise I do in one of my classes is to define "American culture." I'll assure you that it splinters into multiple directions. I guess its like NY pizza: if its on the street corner its not real NY pizza. New Heaven NY pizza may even be better than Ny, Ny pizza. Or as Bubba on Forest Gump would say, "We got Boombozz Ny pizza, we got Street Vendor NY pizza, we got orange grease NY pizza, we got not so stretchy cheese NY pizza, we got soggy crust NY pizza, we got crust that doesn't quite fold over right Ny pizza, we got New Jersey Ny pizza...." ........Hey, ya gotta admit its kindda funny!

Everybody wins.

I dont get it. Someone describes a food that makes them feel like they are home again and people mock them?
Anyone who offers a negative view here is crazy.

Hell, I LIKE NY street corner pizza. I used to visit a buddy in Brooklyn frequently, and that's what I always considered NY Pizza, orange oil and all, before I became better acquainted with the multiple styles of NY. But I also like Papalino's, DiOrio's Boombozz, Bearno... and New Haven Style Pizza, chicago-style and Louisville-style pizza...hell, my buddy ordered Domino's the other day, and I enjoyed a slice or two.
I've been known to enjoy a frozen pizza on occasion also![]()
Some people might think that's gross or uncultured of me, and maybe they're right. But I certainly wouldn't get upset with them for disagreeing or joking with me on the internet about it.
