I'm a Fern Creek dweller and must ask: Do they allow Cowboy boots and hat? Because, if not, it's a deal breaker...

Awesome. I haven't. I definitely think your endorsement is a step in the right direction. Chill, man, I'm not trying to debunk the guy, just suggesting we get to know him better before jumping to any conclusions. No need for the skeptical emoticon.
Adrian: Thanks for the kind words.

Jeremy J: I assure you that I'm a real, live person that isn't just a hater and definitely not a competitor, by any means. I sincerely wished that my Mozz experience wasn't tainted by these ridiculous accusations. Before signing on and lashing out, I gave a couple days to allow cooler heads to prevail. Unfortunately, this did not happen. I was complaining to Adrian about how I felt it wasn't fair that a business owner can offend you behind the comfort of his business without any repercussions. He encouraged me to share the experience with this community, so I did in the most respectful manner that I could think of.

It's not like Louisville is a huge place, so it wouldn't be very difficult to verify my story. I think you and I have a mutual friend in Julia B. (She knows somebody associated with the Blind Pig and is the person responsible for giving me the scoop on your place before it opened...no idea if you know her or not.) I discuss local restaurants with her on a weekly basis and told her of spoongate the day after it happened.

My dinner companions for the evening were Adam and Natalie from Metamorphosis Training Center and Rachelle from Rachelle N. Howell, Attorney at Law...not exactly spoon stealing ruffians.

Incidentally, this is exactly the kind of stuff I was hoping this thread would avoid. Why trash a place that you've never been to? This makes no sense to me.

Do they really put apostrophes in Jimmy Choos and Pradas? If so, that's just pure comical.

Cigars? Pinky rings? :D

Let's be fair here, though: I've been to Mozz, and the food really is very good, particularly the homemade variations on mozzarella.

I'm not surprised if someone's first post is a complaint. I think of pleasant restaurant visits as an Anna Karenina "happy families are all alike" sort of thing. What can you say about it beyond, "it was good"? But bad food or bad service or strange behavior? 864 pages might not be enough.

Unless someone asks for opinions on a specific restaurant, it doesn't seem worth it to register just to post that you had an enjoyable meal somewhere. Maybe it's easier for someone in the business, but for the average customer, we might say the food tasted good and the service was good...but our main focus is on our dining companions so unless something detracts from this, we may not notice the details enough to be able to make an interesting post about them.

But when something goes wrong, that's motivation to register and post. I think it was good that the OP included some good experiences for balance.
