I made a reservation for today's 12:30 lunch. So they are accepted. It didn't look like it was required, but the restaurant was near capacity.

It's been awesome seeing everybody over the past week, your support has been greatly appreciated!

We are experiencing some glitches with our website development, but are confident that we will have these issues fixed and a full menu available by next Monday...

Lunches are 11:30 to 2:30, Tuesday through Saturday.

Dinners:
5 to 10 Tuesday through Thursday
5 to 11 Friday and Saturday
4 to 9 Sundays

We have a 2:00 am liquor liscence, so as long as there are folks to entertain we will stay open until that time in the bar area.

I feel I should say that we are a guest-focused establishment, so feel free to give us a call with any exceptional requests. We will do all that we can to accomodate you!

Thanks for the information, Stephen!

I told my Iranian buddy about this place and he is freaking out about it. We'll probably be there very soon. :D

WOW

That sizes up my wonderful experence tonight at Majid's.....

After reading about it, watching the transormation from afar, and hearing the "chatter", Alan and I decided to venture there for dinner. And I'm SO glad we did.

We were greeted by Stephen and he showed us to a very nice bistro table in the bar. I was impressed with the way the place has been transformed into this incredably chic "spot", and was very alive for a fun crowd.

We started off with a couple of cocktails. I had a "Tahetian (sp) Punch....was perfect for what I requested (something fruity and pineapple) and Alan got a PERFECT Appletini. Probably one of the best he's had, and trust me, he's had plenty.

We split a plate of Calamari that was perfectly breaded and cooked to tender perfection. It was served with an a mixture of greens and grapes.....a wonderful arrangement of tastes and textures.

I ordered the grilled Salmon, which was prepped to the perfect stage of moist and incredably flakey. It was served with Besemic rice and a veggie medley that was to die for. I don't usually like squash, but I adorded this.

Alan ordered the Roasted Duck. Elegant presentation with a half of duck exquisitly prepared. Perfectly crisp. And very flavorful. This was served with fingerlings and a Cuscus that was a nice sweet size to the savory of the duck.

Stephen took care of dessert of us..We each were served a glass of Belgen Chocolate mixed with a nice Cab. Sav. NOw I kow this sounds a bit wierd, but it was VERY good, and decidant.

Dinner for us came to $80. Plus a $20 tip for GRAND and comfortably attentative service.

Alan and I are defiantly planning on going back. Hmmmmmm. Two birthdays this month. I think I know where we will be going!

Cheers!

We went last night....lamb shank was very tasty. My wife and son got the rack of lamb and it was fabulous. They had 1/2 price on bottles of "eclectic" wine. We had a bottle of a very decent Petite Sirah from Israel for under $20. Every aspect of the meal was well done...it's gonna be a regular.

Had a nice lunch there today with Robin and Gayle in order to deliver their orders of funky haggis and scotch bonnet chips.

The lunch portion of the vegetarian pastitsio was incredibly good, and more than enough for two meals so I almost shudder to think how many days I could live off the dinner version. (that said, I would enjoy every single day of it - the half I took home 'might' have survived for about 5 minutes after I walked in the front door. The poor thing barely even got to know the inside of my fridge before I was looking for a fork to finish it off with)

Being a guinea pig for some of Stephen's drink ideas was an unexpected bonus. Good stuff.

Definitely on the 'visit repeatedly' list for me.
