We got the VIP treatment with a full sampling from the cheesemonger as well as the amazing fresh mozzarella bar. I ordered the Seared Tuna (rare) and it was exceptional! Served on a spectacularly dressed bed of spinach with chorizo, and a delicious Romesco sauce, the dish was perfectly balanced and the flavors harmonized with one another very well. Absolutely perfect. Friends and I shared the Gorgonzola Polenta and it was also quite good.

We shared desserts and the Creme Brullee was outstanding as was the Nocciolato.

Our server was Derek and he was absolutely spectacular. Very attentive without being pushy, and very patient considering it took us about 45 mins. to order our mains. His service was the right mix of professional and friendly, very much at the top of his game last night

The whole experience was wonderful and the little extra touches like the cheesemonger sampler really put it over the top.

It won't be something we can afford every week, but Mozz will definitely get our "special" business in the future! Well done!

Did you remember to take the spoon?

There is no spoon.

Wait. Did someone already use that one?

Actually, our sugar spoon was a small, blown-glass affair that appeared to have little or no resale value, so we left it be.

First time at Mozz tonight. The food was well done and the service was perfect - not the least over bearing. The wine list is frankly overpriced with more splash than substance. Their take on a caesar salad was very good - they weren't affraid of anchovies. The highlight for us was the pasta which is made fresh and it shows. For a main course I had the bone-in ribeye which was ok but a bit tough. A couple of double shot espressos and we were out the door. A higher price point than the competition by and large but I think this is a fabulous addition to the Louisville dining scene. BTW our salt spoon wasn't sterling.

I have absolutely loved Mozz from the start. the food has been phenomenal and their cocktail list is totally solid and reasonably priced. I will confess, as much as love LOVE LOVE this place, their wine prices are pretty high. That's the only thing I could see changing, the service for me, and the menu has been superb.

I do think the menu pricing is a little unbalanced. Seems that the majority of the entrees are either relatively cheap ($18) or pricey ($38) with not much middle ground. I'm not saying that each dish isn't worth the asking price, but it is just unusual to see only the ends of the spectrum and not the middle.

The real deal on that menu is the massive steak for 2 or 4. With all the sides it's a full meal steal. I'd have it way more often if only my wife would eat steak. Grrrrr....

I thought the place had a great feel - and wasn't too loud on a Tuesday night (I imagine weekends are really loud). The pasta dishes are priced right - I thought the ribeye was a bit too high but I had it anyway. We thought the salads were really nice.

They need a veal dish IMO to go with that great cheese. Three (four if you count the combined meal for 2 or 4) steak/beef options might be a bit unbalanced in that direction. But they are still in the infancy of this place. We liked it a lot.

Agree 100% with the veal vote.

And yeah, a couple of friends got that steak and it is aplenty! A great value!
