Dan E wrote:Scathing indeed, but I was referring to Matthew D's post, not yours. You clearly stated that you did not mean it as a criticism, and I took no issue with your post.

Matthew said that such behavior is indeed worth of criticism, and I disagreed with him, not that he isn't entitled to his opinion also.

Nevertheless, this was my first time getting put in my place via the internet, and it was moderately exciting, so thanks for the experience.

I will try to be clearer in the future.

 :? DOH !!! My bad. Would a shot of bourbon and my daughters phone number be enough to make amends ? :D

Just for the record, we're going to the Fern Creek-Buechel area for dinner tonight, and joining friends from Middletown.

Hey, no apology necessary, Steve, and you clearly know the way to my heart. (The Bourbon, that is, as my girlfriend would probably yell at me about the phone number thing)

I've got thick skin.

I'm new to this whole "internet" fad, so maybe I wasn't clear. Regardless, I will live to post another day, and no hard feelings.

OK, well let me know if things go south with your GF. I gotta get my daughter hooked up with a new BF. The one she's got now is bucking for a dad attack.

Now I'm just curious what would bring you out to Fern Creek/Buechel...I'm pretty sure it's not the Ryan's or the numerous fast food joints on Bardstown :P

I'm trying to figure out where I'm going for dinner tonight... actually have some time to go somewhere and nothing really catching my attention... if only I could go somewhere and tell the chef to do something creative and surprise me!

Better not say just yet, since I *might* end up reviewing it somewhere, although the real purpose of the evening is just dinner with friends. I can say, though, that it's NOT a chain and IS ethnic.

My guess would be the Petra, the new mediterranean place in Buechel. It's the only thing new out here. Nice remodel, looks good from the outside but I haven't visited yet.

I was thinking Petra also. I have meaning to get in there, but my car always takes me over to get a gyros at Bosna Mak instead.
I have also wanted to check out the place just down the road,The Joker cafe. I always see a bunch of eastern European guys hanging around out front.
The tall one wants white toast, dry, with nothin' on it.
And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

Got it! The giveaway might have been "Buechel and Fern Creek," as Eastland Plaza is the point where these unincorporated communities meet.

I have no idea where any of those places are... is Dakshin the one in a run down shopping center behind a Marathon gas station? There's a couple of ethnic grocery stores in the same shopping center?

Has anyone been to the Latino grocery store next to Dakshin? Is it any different from others? It looks larger to me. I like La Rosita here in Clarksville, just wondering what that one has.

We walked through it last night while waiting for our friends to negotiate Friday rush traffic over from Middletown. It's large and bright, but not as much more stuff than you might think because it's very open, with lots of space around and between the aisles. I'm sorry I didn't do a thorough inventory, though.
