I was being intentionally vague because I'm not sure. Basically, don't hold up on our account, but I ought to be able to pick up Mary and get over there by noon, but I was giving myself until 12:15 to be on the safe side. You could go ahead and start at noon and we might slither in a few minutes late, or start at 12:15 and we'll probably be early ...

The tall one wants white toast, dry, with nothin' on it.
And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

It was fun and good to see you again! It appears Marsha's rat trick has already found it's first victim.

The cleaning lady at the dorm!*

*Explanation: we decorated the dining hall at the dorm for halloween yesterday. I bought some fuzzy rats with leathery tails and they were just the right size to load into the back of the cup dispensers, so when you take the last cup - a rat pops out!

Okay, guys! I think you owe those of us who weren't able to have lunch at Habana Blues an explanation about the "rat trick".

And, BTW, how was your meal?

Over all I was pleased with the tapas I had. I went with a couple of empanadas(beef picadillo) that were quite good. The pastry may not be as light and flaky as others I have had, but were definitely not greasy as I often see them. They were served piping hot and the beef was well seasoned with a pronounced cumin flavor.
I followed with the albondigas. Three very dense meatballs served in a shallow bath of a creole sauce. I felt the meatballs were a bit bland(others might say subtle seasonings) but none the less still tasty. The tomato based sauce was a bit too salty, but it didnt stop me from sopping it up with the toasted bread that accompanied the dish.
Enjoyed spending lunch with fellow forumites as well a brief history lesson from Mr Pierce regarding the cool building the restaurant occupies.

Just a note to let folks know that Habana Blues Tapas Restaurant (which just opened last month) has their website up and running now. It's

http://habanabluestapasrestaurant.com/

I know Leo and Rafael would love for folks from Louisville Hot Bytes to stop in and say hello if you're in downtown New Albany this coming week for Harvest Homecoming.
