Being as I come from the more southern part of the metro area (Bullitt County) and have several family members in Valley Station, I don't think we tend to think of ourselves as much Hillbilly but much more Redneck. My nephew is very proficent with a torch and in one afternoon turned his stainless steel work bench into a propane grill, that we had burgers off of that evening.
We are proud of our heritage , but embrace and welcome all. We have had get togethers with all that like to have a good time, it is more about the food and fun and family with us to me that is what it is all about.

We had a good meal there last night. I didn't reread through the whole thread, but I think it used to be open only during lunch. Now they're open for dinner 7 days a week.

I had the BBQ tofu, sweet potato fries and hot licorice tea.
My husband had pork pie, greens & gunpowder tea.
Our 5yo had the parsnip soup and the Itty Bitty tea with honey.

It was all very good. The service was attentive and helpful. We arrived early (around 6) so there was only one other table, but it started filling up as we were finishing. Our tab was $33 something with a $7 tip on top.

My only slight nitpick was that the portions were a bit small for the price. I'm not a huge eater either - I'm a fairly slim 5'6" chick. But that definitely won't stop us from returning. I'd like to check out the breakfast/brunch which is served on the weekends.
