I've enjoyed the two times I've at at Papalino's but I think next time I will head into Wicks or Impellizeri's. Purely from a personal opinion, I prefer the thicker, Louisville style pizza they serve.

I know it would probably never happen, but I would be really curious to see Papalinos do a deep dish Chicago style pizza. I think they do an AWESOME job at what they do, I just don't prefer that style, so I'd love to see their take on a style that I love.

Yep! I didn't even know about this place until earlier this year and went as soon as I learned of its existence. Really good deep dish IMO.

Boombozz = tiny pizza for too much money.

I love Impellizeri's but it is style all it's own. I don't think Louisville has ANY authentic NY style. Windy City pizza is close to Chicago style, but the owner wasn't really cool to me when I ate there (he and I were the only people in the place).

For real NY style, Lexington actually has 2 places that are great, and they are 2 blocks apart: Goodfellas and Brooklyn Pizza.

since we're talking pizza smack

My current favorites - the potato pizza at Cafe Lou Lou
and from RichO's/NABC the Roundhouse (best thick crust pizza around in my book)

Oops....I'm very forgetful.

I'd like to add NABC and Cafe Lou Lou to my list.

Agreed about Goodfellas. I am a big fan.

Have you (anyone?) tried Caffe Classico's pizza? If you like the Italian/European style, it's amazing.

I'm not certain. There are several I know not located in that particular area of town worth mention.

I don't think we really need to be limited here by the narrow gauge of the CJ's imagination.
