You know, I feel about that thing the same way I feel about their KFC Famous Bowls. Mashed potatoes, cheese, corn and fried chicken all smothered in gravy.

I mean... hell yes... but... hell no.

Let me just say that it didn't look nearly as tempting in real life.

I can't believe you would let your husband eat one let alone 2 of those. Do you want him to die or something? Yuck.

Well, hello Jeremy. Welcome back. Doug requested two and later wished he had only gotten one. I gently encouraged him to go ahead and eat both because I didn't want to waste the $5 that I had just spent on a heart attack in a box.

The only time I go to KFC is to stand outside with other protesters holding signs.

For an extra 50 cents you can get the Colonel's "cup-o-lard" dipping sauce.

Not sure exactly what you mean. As in trying to create controversy? I'm just tellin' it like it is. Protests are the only time I go there.

I think most people here know KFC is pretty disgusting food, and further is a chain, so probably isn't too popular. For Louisville, they provide a lot of jobs (YUM HQ, plus low paying fast food jobs), that is their "pro" side. Plus some charitable sponsorships.

I mainly oppose them for their horrific cruelty to animals. Groups like PETA have caused KFC Canada to change its practices (https://secure.peta.org/site/Advocacy?c ... on&id=1765), and they're on the way to succeeding in the US.

Plus, I have unpleasant childhood memories of their greasy chicken with veins (tendons) hanging out. Ick.

Here's a pic of my kiddo holding a sign... His favorite foods are artichokes and pomegranites...Image

Peace...

It's great some groups have gotten businesses to change their practices regarding certain production. However, anytime PETA is mentioned, I just don't give it as much credit.

True dat!

Nimbus, I was just kidding but yes, I meant that you may have been trying to get a rise out of someone.. But I don't like KFC anyway... Popeye's is much better, and I make better fried chicken than either place.

I couldn't agree more about J Harrod, ate there Sunday night and that chicken is the S#&T!
If you haven't had the pleasure of trying the fried chicken there I highly recommend it. It is boneless which some people have told me is just chicken tenders but their chicken is juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside and FRESH!

BTW... One of us needs a new avatar Kyle
