If I recall when I was 8 mos. pregnant the last thing I wanted to do was do a lot of walking..or standing for a long time, A distillery wouldn't have been the most fun.

I really love the restaurant at Shakertown, and some of the beds are pretty low (I've stayed there on occasion). If it is running the boatride down the river is wonderfully calming, and just a stroll in the country can make cares fly away.

Is the Rosewood Inn (or BB) still open and operating in Bardstown? It's a very pretty little place and I thought the new (last?) owners were focusing on the cafe. I think they had a very nice art gallery there as well.

What about the Beaumont Inn, Harrodsburg, KY? www.beaumontinn.com
They have a more formal dining room and a tavern on the property and it is a really neat historical inn. About 1 1/2 hours from Louisville. :D Good luck choosing......let us know where you go and how it was. What a good husband you are!
