Is the lunch menu at Mojito the same as their dinner menu?

More limited menu but large enough that we haven't been all the way through it yet. :D

Mojito

by Fernando Martinez » Tue Jul 03, 2007 6:33 pm

Melissa: Our menu is not as big for lunch, but we have more sandwiches options and some of the sandwiches come with small cup of soup and small salad and our Brunch Buffet starts this sunday.

Thank you Brand, mike, Kim and Ed for the nice comments and we thank you for your business. Fernando Martinez/Chef Owner.

My darling boyfriend took me to to Mojito last week for my 30th birthday. Everything was gorgeous, from the atmosphere to the service and especially the food. We had a variety of tapas: the calamari was cooked to perfection; the caesar was light and crisp, topped with a lovely crouton with an anchovy; the shrimp in garlic was just garlicky enough, with a little citrus for tartness; the beef skewer with blue cheese and port wine sauce was again, cooked to perfection with a delicious straight forward flavor; and, the cheese plate was lovely, well balanced and had several nice accompaniments. The chefs certainly know how to let the ingredients speak for themselves and not overdo things. We finished our meal with the churros and the goat cheese flan. Both were heavenly, but I think I enjoyed the actual meal more than the desserts, which is odd for me. I also had a lovely mojito made with spearmint. We dined at the bar, served by my favorite bartender in Louisville, Steven Higdon and by another friendly young lady, whose name I can't recall.

It was a perfect meal, with great personable service; it moved along at a nice pace-not too quickly, but not much time between courses. I can't wait to return. I seriously can't think of one complaint. They've done their homework; the staff is friendly; and every meal I saw leave the kitchen looked perfect.

I went there on Saturday for lunch. I guess too much good hype about the food brought too many expectations. The food was of high quality but it didn't really have me swooning, definately smiling, but I thought it was good good food for low prices. So if I put everything together, I have trouble finding an equal to this place. Where else is there offered high quality food at such great prices? I do have to try their dinner though, it's probably much more telling on the greatness.

lunch

I have to suspect that lunch has to be a whole different event. Something about the evening, the crowd, the looseness (a word?), the general exuberance of people kicking back and really enjoying something. Maybe the drinks help. Maybe I liked ratatouille a little too much.
