You can have Giordano's shipped in for like $5 more than the cost
of the pizza - they partially bake it, freeze it and send it! I've never done that,
but have considered it, since it's the best deep dish pizza I've ever had.

I'll have to try Windy City since so many have recommend it :)

They serve a very competent "Chicago Style" thick crust pizza,...MOF, I'll stir the pot and go so far as to say that ANY of their pizzas can hold their own against (or in some cases beat the hell out of) most of the ballyhooed "local" pizza we've tried...oh and they serve 110 different beers.

My hubby and I enjoy Old Chicago's Pizza, as well. Yum!

Im not saying it isnt around, but living in Chicago for the better part of thirty years I cant ever remember having a "thick"crust anywhere other than maybe a pizza hut/little caesars type place. Not wanting to venture into the thin vs deep dish debate, I will point out theres a common misconception/misinterpretation surrounding "Chicago style" deep dish. Every place that I ever had deep dish it was always a thin crust, but a thick(up to three or four inches) pizza. Sometimes with another thin crust thats put on the top. Never a thick crust.
The tall one wants white toast, dry, with nothin' on it.
And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

When I was last in Chicago I tried Giordano's and didn;t really like it... not as much as Bacino's anyways. I was looking into ordering Lou Malnati's to try that but the prices are outrageous.

Hit this website and have Lou Malnati's delivered to your door. I have had the frozen and they are pretty close to what you get in the restaurant in Chicago.

Had Windy City for dinner tonight. Pepperoni and sausage stuffed pizza, we thought it was awesome. Goose Island Honker's Ale on tap was a nice pairing too. Thanks for the recommendation guys!
