Agreed, tartufo in Italy is hard to beat. My favorite dessert locally is Amy's bread pudding at Baxter Station. Although it sounds like I need to try the Comfy Cow! :D

And Tre Scalini claims to have invented it!

I will say, though, that the Comfy Cow is awesome.

We don't eat desserts very much - not because we don't love them. Mike can eat 6 and lose weight. I watch him eat them and I gain weight.
Have been getting the upside cupcakes at Homemade Pie Kitchen. A recent discovery. We get one of each and share. Caramel icing on chocolate could be the best. (Reminds me of the Woodford Reserve caramel/chocolate cake made for the Distillery.)
We enjoyed the cookie dough ice cream concoction at Boombozz for bday celebration recently.
Any Xmas cookies I bake.
My mother's date bars that I make now.
At work, the Woodford Reserve chocolate torte (Bourbon Street Cafe)
(Have to eat dinner so we can share another Upsidedown Cupcake.)
Peanut M&Ms. That is one of several treats that are set out for us at the Sensory area. Love them.

Whoppers.

Honestly. Those cheap, chocolate-covered malted milk balls that come in a milk carton container. I could eat a carton a day, if I let myself.

There's just no accounting for taste.
My memory's not as sharp as it used to be.

Let's see...

-Last year, I contracted our friend Marsha L. to make a red velvet cake for a birthday. Best cake any of us ever ate.

-I plated up a lot of Equus chess cake back in the mid nineties. Fantastic dessert.

-I make a version of "First Saturday in May" pie that is LOADED with bourbon and a real crowd pleaser.

-Chocolate chip cookies from Blue Dog.

-Bread pudding from House of Blues in Las Vegas.

And several others...

Neuhaus truffles! We covered our entire wedding cake in them.

And I had Nutella gelato at Proof last week and it was fantastic. And I'll put in my vote for the salted caramel at Comfy Cow too. I literally was licking the inside of the cup when it was gone.

Didn't realize Neuhaus reached these parts! Love, them, they are to Belgium what Godiva is to U.S.

My favorite sweet treat would have to be creme brulee. I've had it at many places and really never had a bad one. I also like flan a lot.

Root beer/Coke floats are my favorite beverage sweet treat.

My favorite sweet treat memory goes back to my Aunt and Grandmother taking me to the old Dove candy store in the south side of Chicago. This was before they sold out to Mars. Small old school candy shop. I would get a hand dipped Dove bar and a little paper cup of dark chocolate candies. Dove bars are still tasty now,but not the same as watching some old lady with a paper hair net dip it into the giant vat of chocolate. I recall putting on a "cute kid" face and having them dunk the bar an extra time for me.
The tall one wants white toast, dry, with nothin' on it.
And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

Oh, I could make a list on this thread! But I'll start with just one - when I worked at The Daily Grind, we used to get these chocolate eclairs that were out of this world. They were so rich that we would split them. I'm pretty sure they were from Helen Friedman. Best. Chocolate. Eclair. Ever.

Helen Friedman also makes a MEAN chocolate cake. OMG, to die for. Rich, creamy, delicious.
