Kidd friendly eating

by Amy Smalley » Wed Jun 20, 2007 9:22 pm

We have had very good luck at Tony Boombozz pizzeria also. My kids love the free maraschino cherries they can put in their drinks. And their are gourmet pizzas for the adults.

Also, my kids like Fuji Japanese Steakhouse. They love the fried rice at the teppanyaki bar. Plus, it is just plain entertaining.

baxter station is very kid friendly. there is a model train that runs around the top of the restaurant. many of the staff are moms and dads and welcome those with kids. kids menu with the basics, but the kitchen is good about honoring special requests.
come see us.

I haven't been able to post for a couple days, but I still wanted to put in my two cents on this. Everyone else who frequents this forum probably knows what I am going to say, but since you are new, I will reiterate my well-known love for SEVICHE. (Yes, another gush about Seviche!) I have dined there with my three young children a couple of times and the staff was wonderful, and Anthony is more than willing to accommodate menu requests (he has a cute little 4 year old himself). We recently celebrated my daughter's sixth birthday there and it was probably the most memorable dining experience we've had as a family. And now is a great time of year to try it out because the outdoor seating is very laid back. They have amazing Nuevo Latino food- I have to force myself to try other places when we get those rare date nights!

And another place where we have had really great service (from Jessica who also has a daughter) while dining with our children is at Palermo Viejo. It is an Argentinian steakhouse style restaurant also on Bardstown Rd. Very tasty grass fed free range beef with addictive chimichurri sauce.

Welcome to Louisville, there are so many good independently owned restaurants here, I know you and your family will soon find many new favorites!

Thanks Gretchen! I will do anything I can for the little ones. Jessica is a sweetheart, I have'nt seen her for awhile. Palermos chimichurri is awesome. As you know, they have the traditional style, and at Seviche theres a twist on it. Fresh herb chimichurri, yellow tomato chimichurri, horseradish chimichurri, sun-dried tomato chimichurri, basil chimichurri, etc. Also, Gretchen gets the award for the most well behaved and cutest kids award! Buen provecho y muchas gracias. Thers a song that says "trick love the kids" Well, Lamas loves the kids!
