I do feel the pain of the website jingle........

What, another derailment?

I'm curious as well, as PizzAroma is very close to us on Bardstown Road. We're visiting an aunt in the Bowling Green area this weekend, so I'll see if she's been to the one there.

Back in the 70's I once saw God while eating a pizza. I thought it might be the sauce that did it but eventually came to the conclusion that is was the mushrooms. 8)

Welllll...John and I have called for delivery from them twice. The first time, though it was within their published hours, they had had a slow night and already shut down the oven, so they apologized and asked us to please try them again some other time.

We tried again last Friday night, and the driver showed up without my debit card slip for me to sign, so I told him how much tip to apply and according to the bank records it went through the way I wanted it to.

The pizza: It was decent; the sauce was a little sweeter than I prefer, the toppings were plentiful. The crust, well...it was a little tough while at the same time being perfectly white on the bottom. And my GUESS is (only a guess, though) that they use frozen crusts - there were concentric rings on the bottom that seemed to indicate factory production to me. I could be wrong about that, though.

Large specialty pizza plus a passable order of hot wings, $28 and change. And yes, they are in "Pizza Alley", but neither Bearno's or Boombozz in the Highlands delivers. That leaves Wick's (good but pricey and casserole-style), Za's (who I had a customer service problem with within the last year) and the mega-joints - at least to our neighborhood. So we may give them another try some time.

Marsha, just FYI, the Bearnos by Bowman Field will deliver to our part of the Highlands.

Otherwise, thanks for the review. It's certainly unfortunate if Aroma uses mass production, frozen crusts.

I believe I saw a sign at the Bearno's next to Avalon that says they are now delivering.

Well, I hope if I'm wrong about the frozen crusts, someone from PizzaRoma will chime in here and correct me. But I've definitely worked at a pizza joint that hand-made and formed crusts from scratch, and these didn't look or taste like that to me.

*sigh* - and to be fair, Cafe Lou Lou does deliver pizza in the Highlands, and it's freaking awesome. I really miss that pizza *snif* :(

Boombozz Taphouse is set to start delivering in January as far as I understand! Tony Palombino can correct me if I'm wrong, but this is what Robert tells me.
