La Catalana Free Tasting today (Sunday) from 12-8

I whole heartedly agree with Jeffery D. But everything aside, I have to go soon because it almost sounds like a put-on or a Saturday Night Live skit. I'm hoping these folks can pull it together and serve some interesting ethnic food.

Shoot, should have checked the board before we headed out to this place last night. I think folks have pretty much covered everything in previous posts and I dont want to pile on, but we did not have a positive experience. We were settled up and out the door after our first courses arrived...couldnt force another course knowing what was right next door! Havana Rumba was packed (as usual) and we had to wait at the bar for some time before we could be seated...but we had delicious margaritas in hand and knew that good food was in store. Best of luck to the La Catalana folks....I was certainly excited to hear about the place and if I heard positive reviews in the future i would probably check it out again. Unless they step it up soon I think they will see a lot more folks like us who leave half way through.

My lunch group tried them last Friday. There were 4 of us and all of us enjoyed our meal. communication was a little shaky but adequate. I think they will grow better with time, and hope all the negative reviews won't be totally off-putting for people. We will definitely return...the menu has some wonderful items on it that we wish to try. I hope folks will at least give them a chance.
