Yeah I was surprised to see a Doogy post here, didnt notice the date at first. I know Barr farms grows mushrooms(shitake) and are one of the few(if not only) to include them in their CSA boxes.
The tall one wants white toast, dry, with nothin' on it.
And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

Cool thread. I love the photo and the mushroom info. BTW, what are the mushrooms that look like black rubber raincoats when you cook them?

That's so weird; this was at the top of my feed and I didn't even notice the date! I must have clicked back to archives without noticing it. Nonetheless, I'm still totally fascinated by that picture!

Ms. Lyons, is that the Farmers Market off of 33rd Street, out close to Johns Hopkins? That one is a fabulous market, 52 Saturdays a year. Our daughter is at JH, lives on 33rd, and when we visit we always walk 2 blocks to that market for breakfast and goodies. Outstanding stuff there. :D

Yes it is. I would love for Louisville to have a market of that size with all the different prepared food stuff vendors and glorious produce. St. Matthews market is the only one that comes near to the same size but it still falls far short. mmmmm crepes, mushroom fritters, smoked meat :)
