Jackie, it's about 6-8 ounces of Old Forester. Here's the recipe I start with: http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/ ... orn-230652. I doubled that, put some extra bourbon, some extra butter, and used red onion because Kroger was out of shallots.

Carol C made the fabulous beans! I'll add my thanks to Ed, Cindy, Steve and Becky as well. Y'all may have missed it in the shuffle of information, but they actually had to pay a couple hundred dollars to rent the pavilion for us, so - many thanks!

I missed that! And strongly feel that we should pass the hat around to help defray those expenses.

Hey! No worries. We caught a break on the rental and passed what we saved on to the food kitty. Move along, nuthin' to see here. Some other benefactors also contributed and we passed that on as well. You know who you are and we appreciate it. :D

Thanks to everyone for some fantastic food. I was so glad to meet some new forum members. Linda was heartbroken she couldn't make it and even more so when told of the great time and good food. Lets do it again real soon.
Unlike most of you, I am not a nut, but I do roast em.
