Last year we enjoyed the Thanksgiving buffet at the Prospect Bristol Bar & Grille. It was very nice. I hope to go again this year.

The Captain's Quarters link shows they will be open for Thanksgiveing with traditional turkey and dressing and all the trimmings. What I found cool was that for a mere $10 more you can do a Thanksgiving cruise. If this weather holds just a bit THAT might be a great way to spend a bit of time on turkey day! Especially if you have guests in from out of town.

I had some pretty good wings at Turkey Joe's yesterday (Sunday), and there was a table tent advertising a Thanksgiving day buffet for $13.99.

Getting desperate and frustrated. full B&B, two weddings, and getting the house ready for 3K people the next weekend. I'm not cooking. And I can't find websites for Blackstone or J Harrods, mentioned earlier in this thread. (Remember that thread about "get a website?") Churchill downs is $65!! a head (not even remotely in the budget) and the fine historic hotels are also total budget breakers.

Bristol at $20/head is probably doable, but no kids price is listed on their website, and paying $20 for a 4 year old makes me crazy.

Seriously, folks, updates these websites!

I snagged a Leo yesterday and I remember seeing an ad for Sitar Indian on Bardstown Rd doing Thanksgiving "Indian Style Turkey" and "Fried Turkey". If memory serves it was also very inexpensive, I want to say $6.99 or $7.99? Anyway, check the new LEO.

Is this the correct Blackstone and J Harrods?

Thanks guys! We have a reservation at Sitar. It meets the diet choice of the group and we did warn the guests that we're "non-traditional."

Find their websites isn't the problem. Finding out if and what they're doing for a special holiday is. It's not hard to have a section or page that is user updateable. That's what's really needed to promote special events.

It's not difficult to pick up the phone and call to inquire about the latest news. Even the most up to date websites will not have every detail.

It is not difficult to keep a website up to date and many restaurants even use twitter or Facebook to keep everyone informed of their daily specials! I don't mind calling about a specific question but when shopping around you reasonably cannot call everyone. The more information you provide people the more likely you are to get them as customers.
