Nimbus Couzin wrote:Yeah, but it isn't the thing you want to have to drive to in order to get. Za's is across the street. No slices. Impellerzelli's is a few blocks. No slices. Did Boombozz have slices before? Again a few blocks. Sure if you go far enough someone will have a slice. I spend most of my time in a very small section of the city. A lot of Highlands people are the same way. Luigi's and Perfetto simply aren't on the beaten path for me (though Luigi's could be convenient at times).
Slices are a Brooklyn memory for me. Anywhere and everywhere. VERY easy to find. And cheap. And fast. Driving to get a slice would seem inherently wrong to me.
My thought is that many pizza joints simply don't want to deal with a customer for a three dollar purchase. They'd rather get you for twenty bucks (for a whole pie). Just thinking out loud.
Cheers!

We had a regular crust that we enjoyed, jusr wondered why we could not get the Brooklyn after Tony said it was availible.

Better be more specific, Laura. In New York City, the Original Ray's has spawned several dozen street-corner imitators. That Ray, who most likely never got close to Louisville, may have been a pizza pioneer!
