There now is no connection between Claudia Sanders and KFC except the name.

Henry Bain. Not being persnickety, just a local tradition that chefs and foodies ought to know ...

Same deal as Panera's "fresh-baked bread," then. It really irritates me when eateries fudge the truth ...

I don't know if they supply any restaurants, but the potato rolls sold by a vendor at Beargrass farmers' market are not just da bomb, they are da atomic bomb. Heat 'em at home and you'll swear you're a kid at grandmother's house again.

From the label: Granny's Potato Bread, Granny's Delights, Donna Gritton, Bardstown, Ky.

No Website, but she puts an email address on the label so I guess it's okay to put it here: grannysdelights (at) gmail.com

Before I make a judgment, rolls/breads made only in store? Or any restaurant; regardless if they ship the bread in and simply warm it up?

I'm with ya on Sister Shubert, Dan!

We use Sister Shubert and are quite happy with the results.

I remember a million years ago when Texas Roadhouse opened their first store in Greentree Mall in Clarksville next to Penneys. They had terrific yeast rolls but their whipped butter with cinnamon and maybe a little honey was da bomb! Haven't been there in years so I don't know if they're as good as they used to be.

Kyle -

We make our own muffins, but they are quick and easy; as are biscuits. I would guess that the number of restaurants that take the time, make the effort and can afford the expense (equipment, floor space(rent) and salaries) to truly make their own rolls, from scratch, is quite limited.
