Since we've mentioned more than songs here, I thought this spoof of V for Vendetta called "C for Cookie" was HILARIOUS:

I love the Transfer ... but, the credit for the song actually goes to "The Ink Spots," who recorded it, I think, in the 1950s.

These list are pretty thorough but, I did not see one of my favorites, I Want To Cook For You by Morphine, especially the live Orchestra Morphine.

I love the 80's!...Though one must be careful what they ask for because they just might get it...LOL...Speaking of sugar...I always found these lyrics from 50 Cent..."21 Questions"...a little amusing...

"I Love You Like A Fat Kid Love Cake"

Now if that's not true love...I don't know what true love is...and who said that thug rappers can't be sensitive...

seriously, anyone familiar with that john prine song? it would make me sooo happy if i could tap into a good soulful share with a forumite. it brings back memories to hum the tune. it took me a long time to understand the concept of my breakfast staring back at me. not so much a food song in the sense of what flavors do for our olfactory ar taste buds, but a meal heads the lyrics, so it 's worth it to mention as far as i'm considered, cause john prine is a laureate of the lyrical art form. if you agree, please type yeah...

but also, gotta give credit to the mentioning of def leppard, in shock that it didn't hit an earlier list. it seems that a lotta songs on the long lists were obscure or folky. i can recall a grade school cherades (end of the year, kinda like field games indoor) challenge guessing the titles of many pop hits, and that was one of them. cheesy, but such a wondrous glam rock solid hit! Oh, Honey Pie, you are makin me craaazzzzyyyyyy! (food song?)
