Bardstown Road Presbyterian Church parking lot, one block north of Speed, a few blocks out from Eastern Parkway. More or less directly across from Asiatique.

Or, by Louisville directions, it's right across Bardstown from where Cherokee Dairy used to be, and katty-corner from the old Fat Cats.

Added: It opens at 8 a.m. sharp on Saturdays, and if you want some high-demand items like free-range eggs, fresh strawberries in season, or some of Stonecross Farms' more limited-supply meats, you need to be there then. It runs all morning and into the early afternoon, but the social crowd probably peaks between 9 and 10 or so.

Tried the O'banon over the weekend, Robin. You could have warned me of the level of "tang" involved with that cheese. :P That was the tangy-est cheese I have ever had. I liked it but it is something that has to be taken in smaller portions.

Wasabi from Capriole and a slug Kentucky Tomme, too, from the market Saturday morning. Can't say I found much else there that I had an interest in, but it shouldn't be too long before the produce tables fill up!

Oh my gosh, this cheese is inCREDIBLE!!! We got some a few weeks ago while at the farmer's market, and it is some of the best cheese I've ever had. I'm not a cheese connoisseur, but I love cheese, and this stuff is amazing. I can't believe I haven't tried it before? Have they always been at the Bardstown market? I've bought Kenny's cheese there in the past, which I enjoy, but had never purchased Capriole. Maybe I was just too poor, cuz it ain't cheap (but it's certainly worth every penny!). I have to look on the price list to tell you which kinds I tried because they are GAWN. One was an aged cheese, almost buttery, with a slight rind. The other softer, and I compare it a mild bleu, in a reaching sort of way. Anyway, we'll be back this weekend to get more for ourselves and to take to a friend's party on Saturday night. :D

Just re-read some of the post, and I believe the aged cheese we had was Kentucky Tomme. mmmmmmmmmmmm........
