When is the last time you went to Kaelin's? Exactly, it was years ago. Their food wasn't that good. "Honk if our burger tastes like Bob Evans"..... Don't try to act all dissapointed they closed when you haven't eaten there in 14 years..................Now begin posts about how you ate there 9 weeks ago when it was really 6 years ago. How was the off-line at Kaelins?......What, it didn't ever happen. Maybe because the food was very mediocre. If Kaelin's was a chain, their closing would not be relevent for discussion as the majority of the people on this forum did not EVEN go to this restaurant.

I have no idea what or who you are responding to and talking mostly nonsense. Might be best if you didn't post at 2 in the morning. Of course a lot of people have some nostalgia for a place that has been around 70-80 years.

I originally started this thread to find out any info about the new venture starting up at the old Kaelin's location. Kaelin's was what it was; I worked there for a couple of years. I have some very fond memories about the place. Kaelin's was (& still is a landmark in this city) and I headed the thread as Kaelin's for that reason.
I do not understand why responders cannot remain on topic in this forum. Of course, now, I'm off topic on my own thread.
Off topic again: Wonder what became of the Kaelin's neon sign? I sure it's worth alot o' money.
Rant over.

I think the sign is on the porch of the house that is attached to the restaurant.

For the record, I've been working with online forums and before that BBS's since the early 1980s, and I can tell you without ANY fear of contradiction that threads drift. They just do. These conversations - word chosen advisedly - are like wide-ranging talks in a friendly pub, and that's not really a bad thing.
