That was Tony, corporate must of been waiting at the door in the morning

Bummer...but I think your right. Hope they at least gave the staff some heads up so they could look for another gig before they folded.

We enjoyed it quite a bit the first couple times we went... but last year some time we had a really bad experience and never went back. Gnocchi that came out cold in the middle, and mushy... returned and it and the "replacement" came back warm but still really mushy. That was it for us...

Tony left Amerigo In approximately Jan/Feb/March of 08 and has been running Juleps catering at Sullivan University since then. So unless Amerigo brought in a new Tony, it wasn't him.

I live 1 mile away. My family tried Amerigo 3x's with each return trip the food becoming "less good". It just never clicked for us.

From the press release, it sounded like they are blaming the closure on the landlord. Is that code words for "we tried to renegotiate, but the landlord said no"?

This is a great location surrounded by a lot of suburban families. Something that caters to that crowd could work. There is a lot of competition all around from chains, most notably Carrabba's, Olive Garden‎, Bonefish, TGI, and Macaroni Grill all within 1.5 miles.
