Considering 'Whiz' is how the do them in Philly, I think that would be the best option to add...

I agree about the cheesesteak. It's perfect as is. The hubby and I had the new pizza last night. Damn, it was excellent.

I'm fuzzy on the details, but as I recall, one of the two most famous Philly spots uses Whiz, but the other uses provolone.

Robin,

I believe you are correct. The FoodCompetition Network ("Triple D" I think) runs a segment now and again that features the two most popular Philly Cheese establishments. I know one of them uses "whiz" and I'm pretty sure the other uses (as you said) provolone.

From what I recall Pat's and Geno's in Philly both use Cheez Whiz, but offer provolone as well.

That's correct. When I visited Pat's they gave me the option of the Cheez Whiz or the provolone, and they didn't pressure me to choose either :D

We tried the Margherita tonight and it was fantastic! Since I (mostly) stopped eating meat I have dearly missed the cheesesteak, but that pizza almost makes up for it. Well done!

That pizza looks sooooo good! I am going to pick one up soon. I'm so glad you've added this type of pizza to your already wonderful menu.

i have lived nearby for about 6 months now but have never tried danny mac's. i only heard about it recently. from what i have heard from friends and read here, the food is fantastic! i must partake! although i would have no problem coming by to pick it up, i wonder if danny mac's delivers to the camp taylor area. i know it's a little ways down the road so if not, i understand. just curious.

Yum!! I have driven by many times and always said to myself "I need to try it out", but haven't, YET. After seeing that picture, I think we will be by sometime this weekend!!!! Personally, I think there is nothing better than Roma tomatoes on pizza. I love them!!

The Margherita pizza is great! I guess it doesn't fall under the $10.99 carryout special, since mine was $16, slight bummer, but delicious pizza! Danny Mac's doesn't disappoint.

We had the Margherita Pizza last night (along with the Chicken Bacon Ranch), and we thought it was AWESOME!!! I love the surprising 'spiciness' of it! Can't wait to try the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich!!
