i am a bit confused......are the animals enclosed....or roaming free?

i had read kale on the Ark site, but it was from 2000, so i will go with just carrots.

Becky,

Kind of both. They are fenced as in "they can't wander outside on to the road". But some are in smaller fenced in sections where there is a fence between you and the animal, and others freely roam in the area kids are in.( Kind of like the goats ast the zoo). Hence the confusion...

Becky, maybe kale does work then. I started taking my grandkiddos in 2001. And they still may take kale. That is not on my favorite food list, so I may have overlooked it and just brought carrots (and dried bread, knowing that I would eat the carrots that the animals didn't.

We've never run into charging llamas or cows, but I have discussed the topic of watching where you step and did have a bottle of water and paper towels in the car, in case they were needed for cleanup. Luckily we've never had to use them.

We were planning on having two options, one for just space and music (she does kid songs and sing-a-longs) and the other would also include kids drinks, earth-friendly cups, cupcakes or cake, etc...

Two might be a tiny bit young, but I see a lot of the little toddlers dancing along when she does her kid shows here....Let me know if you're interested. We should have pricing shortly, but it'll be reasonable.

this sounds really cool....but....like you said, I also think 2 is a bit too young. My son shies from things and that is when he knows the people...i dont know if he could handle something like that. But.....

i went to your site and it does sound kid friendly.....very. Do you all still have the open mic for kids going on ? I really think my daughters would love that, they are 11 and 13. My 11 year old in particular...lol I also like the sound of the story time.....i might lug all the kiddos to that.....sounds like you have a very family-friendly place going on.

Actually, sorry, but we phased out the kid's open mic night. It did pretty well, but from a business perspective I think we were alienating too many of our adult customers by having a roomful of kids jumping around singing screaming and making noise. It is all about balance, and not wanting to lose customers.

We're still quite kid friendly, with an enclosed play area, wooden train set, play kitchen, spinny chairs, etc, but overall we've gone more in the direction of being adult friendly. Adding the beer and wine - with an amazing beer selection - really helped push us in the adult friendly direction. We're trying to be more of a European style community gathering place, where you can have an espresso, latte, mocha, sandwich, etc or as it gets toward evening you can also have a high quality beer or glass of wine. And of course bring along the kids.

And we do have the big conference table in the back room that is perfect for group meetings or birthday parties!

Cheers...
