I've tried the grilled chicken and thought it was ok, although a little salty and way too small for the price. I would give this product about six months, though, before it goes the way of "skinfree crispy." They wouldn't be giving it away if it was a hit.
I got one of those coupons and went to the KFC in Anchorage on Tuesday. The place wasn't all that crowded, but it still took almost a half an hour to get the order. There was one person, who appeared to be the manager, working the line in the middle of lunch. This line is about 30 feet long, and each component of the meal (chicken, sides, utensils) was spread out from one end to the other. Plus, he was fixing orders one at a time, so each meal required a trip from one end of the line to the other. He looked like he was about to have a stroke.

Shelbyville Rd only takes coupons from 11-4.

Funny, I didn't see those hours on my coupon.

I was told to go to the Hikes Point location if I wanted any free chicken.

You are right...I do feel guilty when I get my slaw there(no chicken ever). That place is out of hand when it comes to animal cruelty issues(google some vids on KFC) its pretty F'd up.. I guess I should really try to perfect that slaw recipe at home.
The tall one wants white toast, dry, with nothin' on it.
And the short one wants four whole fried chickens, and a Coke.

KFC was a part of my up bringing. I don't eat it often but a couple of time a year I like it. I'm strictly an "original recipe" guy. I too like the slaw but also have a strange love of their mashed "potato's" and gravy. I doubt I'll even try this grilled stuff. Some folks like White Castle which just the smell makes me gag - but I'll go for the old fashioned bucket of chicken on that rare occasion.
