Okay, can I pick your brain?

My 7-year-old daughter wants a bee birthday party (she turns 8 in June). Do you have any ideas for a cake or cupcakes that would fit her theme?

I can think of lots of "bee" ideas. Is she a girly girl (flowers, ribbons, etc) or more of a tomboy? What was her inspiration for a "bee" party? (Is Maya The Bee still around?)

She's semi-girly. . . The inspiration for the bee party is Ms. B, who is the art teacher/librarian at her school.

Deb,

Thanks for the links--the candy bees are to DIE for!!!

I think it's super that a teacher is having such a positive impact on your daughter at such a young age! Cupcakes are such the rage right now and doing a bee theme is extra easy if you have each cupcake decorated to be a different flower with a bee on each cupcake. Even the bees could have different personalities! (one could be reading a book, one an artist, one a musician, one playing soccer, etc) I'm sure the cupcake shop in St Matthews could do something fun and doll's has giant cupcake flowers that are beuatiful.

I did this Flower cake for my Daughter's birthday. PM me if you are interested and I could do one for you.
